David Moyes to axe Beto in eight changes – Everton predicted XI vs Wolves

Everton’s attention quickly turns to Carabao Cup action against Wolves on Tuesday.

Everton suffered a disappointing defeat against Liverpool last time out and will be keen to get back to winning ways on the road on 23 September at Molineux.

David Moyes‘ side come up against Wolves, who are rock bottom of the Premier League, and the Blues will want to continue their form in the third round after their 2-0 win over Mansfield Town.

Moyes is keen to add a trophy to his Everton resume, and with the feel-good factor around the Hill Dickinson Stadium at the moment, it may be his best chance in years.

Everton to make several changes from Liverpool clash

Mark Travers is predicted to make his second Everton appearance between the sticks as Jordan Pickford finally has proper competition for his place in the side.

Seamus Coleman is expected to feature from the right side of defence, giving Jake O’Brien, who has played in every match apart from the previous round of this competition so far, a rest.

James Tarkowski and Michael Keane are predicted to retain their spots at the heart of defence, with Jarrad Branthwaite not ready to feature yet.

Vitalii Mykolenko returned from injury for Everton in the defeat to the Reds, and Adam Aznou might be preferred at left-back to let the Ukraine star ease his way back.

At the base of midfield, Tim Iroegbunam and James Garner are expected to start, with Idrissa Gueye potentially dropping to the bench despite his Merseyside derby strike.

Moyes axes Beto in brutal Everton call vs Wolves

Dwight McNeil has not featured for the Blues since the last round of the tournament, but he might be handed a chance against Wolves.

On the left flank, Tyler Dibling is expected to replace Jack Grealish to make his full debut for the Blues, having come off the bench twice so far.

Carlos Alcaraz is predicted to get the nod in attacking midfield, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall being given a well-earned rest.

Beto was replaced by Thierno Barry at half-time at Anfield, and the French Under-21 star might start over the Toffees stalwart on this occasion.

Moyes could go with a young forward line, but he will be able to call on the experienced options if they cannot get the job done.
