David Moyes makes baffling mistake as Everton release starting lineup vs Wolves
Everton travel to Wolves on Tuesday for the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The Toffees will be confident of a victory, with the hosts in awful form going into the fixture.
On top of this, Everton have already beaten Wolves at Molineux this season, coming away with a 3-2 victory in August.
However, David Moyes has now made a baffling mistake in his lineup, which could cost the visitors entrance into the next round.

Everton drop Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall vs Wolves
While Wolves are considerably out of form and weak for the Carabao Cup clash, Moyes has taken his team sheet too far.
For the match, the Scotsman has decided to make seven changes for the tie, including dropping Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Grealish was fantastic against Wolves last time out and ran the show as he picked up two assists.
- Everton cruised to a 3-2 victory at Molineux in August
- The Toffees were rarely troubled despite the close scoreline
- Both Wolves and Everton are set to face each other on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup
On top of this, all three Everton goal scorers from the 3-2 victory are also on the bench, in what is a baffling decision from Moyes.
In comparison, Wolves have named a strong starting XI as they look to get back to form, with the recently injured Jorgen Strand Larsen back in the lineup.
Therefore, Moyes’ passiveness may well cost them a place in the next round after naming a significantly weakened starting XI.
Hopefully, these players will step up to the challenge, but the tie could be all but over at half-time.

Carabao Cup should have been priority for Everton
Given the team Everton now boasts, relegation should not be a concern this season.
While, Moyes has been tipped to guide Everton to Europe this campaign, a far bigger achievement would have been to win a trophy.
The Toffees’ last cup came in 1995, and now, due to Moyes’ mistake, the wait could go on even longer.
The Carabao Cup is a very winnable trophy for Everton this year, with Manchester United and Aston Villa already out of the competition.
Therefore, the competition should have been a priority for Moyes, rather than the manager seemingly resting players for their clash against West Ham on Monday.
