Everton vs West Ham: Five players could now miss out amid injury and suspension latest

Everton will be trying to get back to winning ways against West Ham on Monday.

Everton were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Wolves in midweek, which takes their winless run to three matches.

David Moyes‘ side had been in impressive form, but they risk sliding down the Premier League table if they cannot take all three points against the Hammers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 29 September.

Everton will hope to increase the pressure on Graham Potter, after a miserable start to the campaign for the ex-Chelsea manager, as highlighted by the Sofascore graphic.

Merlin Rohl one of five players who could miss Everton vs West Ham

Merlin Rohl missed the loss to Liverpool, and was not included for the cup exit at Molineux, so his participation against the Irons is in doubt.

Jarrad Branthwaite is another Blues star who could miss the clash with the London Stadium outfit, as he is still making his way back from injury.

For the visitors, Tomas Soucek is suspended after his red card against Tottenham, with George Earthy and Aaron Wan-Bissaka deemed as doubtful for the contest.

David Moyes will want Jarrad Branthwaite back soon

Michael Keane has stepped up admirably in Branthwaite’s absence, but Moyes will want his star man to be back as soon as possible.

The 23-year-old offers the Blues security on both sides of the ball, and formed a superb partnership with James Tarkowski last season.

He has missed the entirety of the current campaign after picking up an injury in the pre-season friendly with Roma, and his return will be a boost to everyone involved with the Toffees.

Moyes needs his side to get another win under their belt imminently, and the return of the Manchester United and Real Madrid-linked star would be a huge boost.

Also, if he wants to earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, he needs to be back playing regularly as quick as he can be.
