Everton in cloud cuckoo land over Jack Grealish if they really believe this about permanent deal

Everton’s summer transfer window offered supporters a refreshing outlook of their club.

Additions such as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry gave the Toffees hope ahead of the season as they embarked on a new dawn at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The name that generated the most excitement was Everton’s loan signing of Jack Grealish.

The 30-year-old has become a fan favourite among the fanbase and has received widespread praise from pundits.

Jack Grealish has been in hot form for Everton

Everton have an interest in purchasing Grealish once his loan deal expires with Manchester City, valuing him at £50million, but BBC Sport reported earlier this month that the Blues believe they can get this price to drop.

Since arriving from City, he has been David Moyes’ standout player and was named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for August.

He has claimed four assists in the league and has become a player that Moyes wants to build his team around.

Grealish has featured in every Premier League game for Everton this season and has become an integral part of the team.

Manchester City will not lower their £50m Jack Grealish price tag

With Grealish becoming Everton’s primary creative outlet, it is clear to see how important he is for Moyes’ side.

The midfielder is comfortably Everton’s highest quality player, and consistently sets the tempo for any attacks.

As good as it is that the Toffees have found genuine attacking quality in Grealish – something they have not had since James Rodriguez – this indicates to Manchester City that Moyes needs him back after the loan deal expires.

With Grealish being at the core of the Scottish manager’s plans, he will not want to lose such a key player.

Although known for their big spending, City have proven themselves to be shrewd operators when selling on players, and the case will be no different with an Everton side that views Grealish as a necessity.

Although age isn’t on his side, Grealish’s form doesn’t suggest that Man City will drop their asking fee for the ex-Aston Villa star quite as much as those on Merseyside seem to think.
