David Moyes to drop Beto in two changes – Everton predicted XI vs Crystal Palace

David Moyes could be ruthless when his Everton side take on Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Everton can end Palace’s 18-match unbeaten run when the sides clash at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 5 October.

Everton will be without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the contest, but Moyes also has a decision to make on Beto‘s involvement.

The Scotsman might finally take action, after a woeful run of form from the Guinea-Bissau forward in recent weeks.

Everton to stick with unchanged defence for Crystal Palace clash

Moyes may stick with the same Everton defence that could only manage a 1-1 with West Ham last time out.

Jordan Pickford is expected to retain his place between the sticks, as the England number one hardly put a foot wrong against the Hammers.

Jake O’Brien, James Tarkowski, Michael Keane and Vitalii Mykolenko are predicted to remain in the backline.

Neither Seamus Coleman or Nathan Patterson are legitimate options to replace O’Brien at the minute, despite his shaky performance against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

James Garner and Idrissa Gueye are expected to hold the midfield together, as they have formed a solid partnership in the opening weeks of the campaign.

David Moyes to give Thierno Barry a chance vs Crystal Palace

Moyes has a selection dilemma when it comes to replace Dewsbury-Hall in the starting line-up, with his suspension for picking up five bookings.

The Scotsman could shift Iliman Ndiaye or Jack Grealish into the middle, but Carlos Alcaraz might be the best option to replace the former Chelsea man, with the others keeping their places on the flanks.

The Blues boss has a major decision to make upfront, with Beto underperforming for Everton at the moment, despite being handed the leading role, as the Sofascore graphic below shows.

While the former Udinese striker edges it in terms of the stats, Barry has not been given a real chance, and Moyes might decide to give him one against the Eagles.

The 22-year-old has not been handed much of a shot to take the starting role from Beto, but he might get an opportunity against Oliver Glasner’s side.

If he takes it, it may be the deciding factor for Moyes over who will lead the line going forward.
