Everton can end Crystal Palace’s remarkable run amid horrendous stat reveal for Oliver Glasner

Everton are preparing to face a Crystal Palace side that are in sensational form on Sunday afternoon.

Palace enter the Everton clash on an 18-match unbeaten run, after they secured victory over the Blues’ arch-rivals, Liverpool, last time out.

Kieran Dewsbury-Hall will be suspended for Everton, giving David Moyes another selection dilemma for the contest.

However, the Scotsman will take confidence from a new reveal involving the Selhurst Park side ahead of the clash at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 5 October.

Everton have not lost to Crystal Palace since 2022

Moyes has enjoyed a stunning return to Everton, and he has reason to be confident for the contest with the Eagles.

The Blues have not lost to Crystal Palace since the 4-0 defeat in the FA Cup in March 2022, with six wins and three draws in the nine meetings.

That will be a concerning statistic for Oliver Glasner, as his side has a horrendous record against the Toffees in recent years, as highlighted by the Sofascore graphic below.

Everton have an unbeaten record of their own against Palace.
Everton have an unbeaten record of their own against Palace.

Whether it actually means anything remains to be seen, but the Blues will be confident of ending Palace’s remarkable run after that reveal.

David Moyes needs to continue impressive Everton record

Moyes needs his side to continue their impressive run against the FA Cup winners, as it would be a huge scalp for the Blues.

Palace are the most in-form team in the country, so if Moyes’ side could secure a victory, it would be a major indication that they are heading in the right direction.

They have failed to win in their last four in all competitions after a great start to the campaign, and they need to get back on track.

The Toffees may have a psychological advantage given their recent meetings, but they need to ensure that they get the job done on the pitch.

If they rely on their previous, it could give Palace the edge, but it is certainly a good omen ahead of the clash between the sides, and something that may be in the back of Glasner’s mind.
