Everton news round-up: ‘Shambolic’ Toffees star slammed as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall faces ban extension
Everton’s 1-1 draw against West Ham has sparked plenty of controversy and criticism.
The Toffees were largely expected to come out the winners from the match, with the Hammers struggling near the foot of the table.
However, a Jarrod Bowen equaliser prevented Everton from taking the three points and ending their winless run.
Many Everton players were far from impressive at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as they missed a chance to move up to eighth.
As a result, there have been plenty of talking points, with Goodison News rounding up the biggest stories below.

Beto slammed for performance vs West Ham
One of the poorest displays on Monday came from Beto.
The striker had been criticised going into the match for his form, with Everton looking toothless up top.
This continued against West Ham, with the attacker unable to find the back of the net.
As a result, Tony Scott was heavily critical of Beto’s performance against West Ham, labelling him as “shambolic”.
He said: “He’s got no game intelligence, he doesn’t know whether to make runs, his link up play is awful.
“His hold up play is shambolic, and I look at other teams in the Premier League, and every single team in the league has got better centre forwards than Everton.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could face extended Everton ban
Another player who had hard luck against West Ham was Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The midfielder has been a star player for the Toffees since his move to Chelsea and was in the lineup to face the Hammers.
However, one issue has been his discipline, with the former Chelsea star picking up his fifth booking of the season against West Ham, which will now result in a one-match ban.
The midfielder was far from happy with the referee’s decision to yellow-card him on Monday, and expressed his anger on X.
Now, Keith Hackett believes that Dewsbury-Hall could face an extended Everton ban for his comments.
- Dewsbury-Hall has now picked up five Premier League yellow cards this season
- He will now be suspended for the Crystal Palace match
- However, the decision to give the midfielder a card against West Ham was controversial
“I can understand the frustration of Dewsbury Hall given that I really would have liked to have seen a step management process on a couple of these yellow cards,” the former Premier League referee said.
“Step One – speak to the player advising him that you want an improvement in his behaviour. Step Two – you bring the offending player and his captain together and state clearly that you will sanction any further misconduct.
“Step three – if he persists after the public rebuke then yellow card. This is the process I operated throughout my career.
Forgive me if I’m wrong, and I might be, but some of these decisions are so hard to take. Mind boggling. https://t.co/XpoKG3HoiB

“Of course you may have to issue an immediate caution for a certain offence. The player’s comments on social media are unwise and could increase the length of any suspension.
“I suggest that the player talks to a member of the coaching staff who will give him the appropriate operational advice.”

Jack Grealish frustrated not to beat Everton
Dewsbury-Hall was not the only player frustrated with how the match played out.
Jack Grealish, who has been sensational for Everton since he signed, put in another good performance against West Ham.
However, this did not prove to be enough to give David Moyes’ side three points on the night.
As a result, Grealish expressed his frustration with the West Ham draw on his Instagram story.
He said: “Frustrated not to come away with the win! Thanks for the support Toffees, and see you again on Sunday.”
