Everton vs Crystal Palace postponement latest as Met Office issue weather warning

Everton are set to take on Crystal Palace on Sunday at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Toffees are hoping to end their bad run of form, with David Moyes’ side now four matches without a win.

However, Crystal Palace go into the game as favourites against Everton, after a sensational run.

With the Everton match set to be a sell-out at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, many are hoping for a memorable clash.

Yet, the weather could once again cause problems for the Toffees as a new warning is issued.

Met Office issue yellow weather warning for the weekend

Everton fans have had little luck with the weather recently, and this is set to continue this weekend.

The Met Office on 1 October has issued a yellow weather warning for wind across much of Northern UK.

Merseyside is one of the affected regions, with Storm Amy set to cause issues in the coming days.

Sky News reported on 1 October that winds of 70 miles per hour alongside heavy rain are to be expected.

However, this is only set to take place between Friday at 6pm and Saturday until 11:59pm.

Therefore, the storm should be over by the time Everton and Crystal Palace kick off, making a postponement unlikely.

Crystal Palace is Everton’s toughest test yet at the Hill Dickinson Stadium

Everton have done well to maintain their unbeaten run at the Hill Dickinson Stadium so far.

However, they will need to be at their best to ensure this continues against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Everton simply cannot afford to make mistakes, and Moyes has to get his tactics spot on.

If not, a defeat is inevitable, with Palace proving to be excellent defensively, and they are more than willing to take their chances when given the opportunity.
