Everton stand in way of 164-year Crystal Palace record as David Moyes looks to spoil party
Everton will look to deny history when they take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
David Moyes is expected to finally drop Beto against Crystal Palace, with the striker attracting huge criticism.
Everton drew 1-1 with West Ham on Monday, and the 27-year-old was largely anonymous, managing just one shot on goal throughout the game.
Thierno Barry could be given the nod up front, but there have even been suggestions that the Toffees could start with a false-nine in Carlos Alcaraz or Iliman Ndiaye.
Crystal Palace are the slight favourites against Everton, after the Eagles battered Liverpool at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Crystal Palace on verge of making club history
Everton have not lost to Crystal Palace since 2022, but Moyes will be hoping for more than just a point.
The Toffees are on a barren run, having failed to win in any of their last four games, and are in need of a big performance to get back on track.
But in Oliver Glasner‘s team, they will face one of the Premier League‘s form sides.
Crystal Palace are unbeaten in the league this season and currently sit third in the table, having won three of their opening six.

The Eagles have gone 18 games without losing in all competitions and 12 without losing in the Premier League, with only Everton standing in the way of history.
Crystal Palace’s 164-year history as a club, they have never gone 13 top-flight league games unbeaten – a feat they will achieve should they avoid defeat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton can deny Crystal Palace
Despite Crystal Palace’s impressive start to the Premier League season, Glasner’s team are not unbeatable.
Everton beat the Eagles in both league fixtures last season and have the quality to pose serious problems for the backline.

Efficiency will be a must for Moyes’ team, however. Chances must be taken when they come and there is little room for mistakes, given the danger of the Crystal Palace attack.
But Everton cannot go into Sunday’s game fearing their opposition, and nor will they, if their manager has anything to do with it.
