Alex Crook is absolutely deluded after what he said about Jack Grealish’s England snub
Jack Grealish’s exclusion from the England squad is a baffling decision from Thomas Tuchel.
Grealish picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award for his Everton form in August, but that has not been enough to earn him a recall to the national team.
Everton’s form has nosedived, but Grealish has still impressed, but the former Chelsea manager has not taken enough notice and has made an egregious decision.
However, Alex Crook’s take on the matter, may be even worse than the decision from the Three Lions boss.

What Alex Crook said about Jack Grealish’s England exclusion
Everton ace Grealish was expected to miss out, but it still does not make the call from Tuchel any better.
TalkSPORT journalist Crook believes that the decision is the right one and that the Blues winger has not done enough to earn a recall.
Speaking on the platform on 3 October (10:45 am), he said: “I think he started the season well enough, but as Troy said with Phil Foden, you can’t necessarily call up someone on the basis of two good performances.
“I don’t think he has been particularly brilliant since the last international break, probably hasn’t done enough to absolutely convince Thomas Tuchel that he should be back in.”
Why Crook is wrong on Everton star Grealish
Crook’s take is absolutely delusional, Grealish has still been one of the most inform players in the division despite the Toffees’ struggles.
To say that he has only had two good games shows that he has not been paying attention to the Blues this season, because the Manchester City loanee has been brilliant.
His creative numbers are among the very best in the Premier League, as he ranks top for chances created with a total of 17 and plays 2.88 key passes per game, as per Sofascore.

He has also drawn 22 fouls so far this season, which shows his influence since moving to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Crook’s claim is simply wrong, Grealish’s form has been brilliant, despite his teammates not being able to put the ball in the back of the net.
His last England cap came in October 2024, when he scored in a 3-1 win over Finland, and he should have had a chance to add to his 39 caps that he has earned so far.
He deserves to be in the squad, it is as simple as that.
