David Moyes shares Jarrad Branthwaite update ahead of Everton vs Crystal Palace
David Moyes has provided an update on the state of his Everton team for the clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Everton are looking to end Palace’s 19-game unbeaten streak in all competitions when the sides meet at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 5 October.
Everton will be without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the clash, after he was booked for the fifth time in the 1-1 draw with West Ham.
David Moyes will have to find a solution to that, but he also has injury issues within the squad ahead of the contest.

David Moyes speaks out on Jarrad Branthwaite injury
Jarrad Branthwaite has not featured at all for Everton this season, and his comeback is proving to be a difficult matter.
Moyes shared an update on Branthwaite‘s fitness and Merlin Rohl, ahead of the clash with Palace, saying: “Both the same, no change, neither of them fit for the game, but they are making progress.
“With a bit of luck, we will start to get them on the grass, not gone them on the grass yet, training, so that is where we are at.”
Everton need to beat Palace
The Blues need to get back to winning ways against the Eagles, as they have failed to win in their last four matches.
Their promising start to the season is beginning to come unstuck, and the Scotsman needs his side to start taking all three points again on a regular basis, if they are to achieve their goals.
- Everton started their campaign with a loss to Leeds, then three wins over Brighton, Wolves and Mansfield Town in the Carabao Cup
- They have since failed to win, with a cup exit to Wolves, making things even worse
- Lost against Liverpool, drawn with Aston Villa and West Ham
If they could beat Palace, it would be a huge scalp, as they are the most in-form team in the division, and are a potential rival for a European spot at the end of the campaign.
Everton need to gain momentum, and beating a team that have not lost in their last 19 matches, would be the perfect start for Moyes and Co. to get things going again.
The Toffees boss has a dismal record against the Eagles, and he will be keen to resolve that when the sides meet again, to kickstart their campaign after it has stalled in recent weeks.
