Three moments that show Thomas Tuchel has lost it after absurd Jack Grealish decision

Jack Grealish has again been left out of the England squad by Thomas Tuchel, despite his fantastic form for Everton.

With next year’s World Cup on the horizon, Grealish is desperate for a call up to Tuchel’s England squad.

The German’s selection was in the winger’s mind when he completed his move to Everton, after it had been clear that Pep Guardiola would not be giving him the required minutes at Manchester City.

Grealish has now broken creative records at Everton this season, but still faces exclusion from Tuchel‘s squad.

Here, Goodison News looks at three moments from this season that suggest the former Chelsea boss has made a mistake.

Jack Grealish stuns at Molineux

Everton beat Wolves 3-2 at the end of August, in a game in which Grealish looked to be on a different planet to any other player on the pitch.

The winger assisted with his head for Beto‘s opener, and assisted with his feet for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall‘s well-taken winner.

And there were staggering stats to come out of the game, away from just the 30-year-old’s passing.

Grealish was fouled a staggering seven times, as the Wolves defenders struggled to cope with his footwork.

To that effect, too, the former Manchester City man completed five of his eight attempted dribbles.

It was an irresistible performance from the winger, and a clear sign that Everton had got Grealish back to his very best.

Grealish turns the tide at Anfield

Grealish could not overturn Everton’s 2-1 deficit against Liverpool at Anfield, but the winger tried all he could.

The winger created the most chances of any player on the pitch, was fouled more than any other player, and won the vast majority of his duels.

Conor Bradley would have been happy to see the back of the 30-year-old after the final whistle sounded, with the 22-year-old constantly forced to run backwards in the face of his opponent.

Everton could not find the equaliser, and ultimately lost the game, but it was a performance the Toffees could be proud of.

Grealish was at the centre of that and delivered an individual performance at Anfield of a quality rarely seen by the Blues.

Home debut delight for Grealish

Grealish had shown signs of life after coming off the bench against Leeds United for his Everton debut, but fans were still uncertain about the impact the winger would have on Moyes‘ side.

Those questions were answered after just 23 minutes of the England international’s home debut against Brighton.

Picking up the ball on the left, Grealish drove at and beat his defender, before delivering a perfect ball across the box for Iliman Ndiaye to tap home.

And in the second half, the forward continued to thrive, picking up another assist for James Garner‘s goal, and continuing to torment the Brighton back-line.

Grealish may not have been called up to the England squad, but should he keep delivering performances like he is doing for Everton, the German will be forced to make the right decision.
