James Garner heavily praise for ‘wonderful’ moment in Everton’s late victory vs Crystal Palace
Everton picked up a sensational late victory against Crystal Palace on Sunday as they won 2-1 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees deservedly went behind in the first half as Daniel Munoz finally managed to beat Jordan Pickford just before the break.
However, David Moyes made changes at the break which transformed the match, with Carlos Alcaraz being outstanding from the bench against Crystal Palace.
Everton eventually got their reward for a second-half display with goals from Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish turning the match on its head and giving the Toffees all three points.
Plenty of players were outstanding for the hosts, with James Garner putting in another great performance.

James Garner incredible once again in Everton vs Crystal Palace
Garner has been great for Everton early in the 2025-26 campaign.
Even in the Toffees’ recent awful run of form, the midfielder has not let this affect his performance.
Against Crystal Palace, the 24-year-old continued to shine and should have arguably picked up an assist just before Crystal Palace’s opener.
The midfielder whipped in a sensational ball to Thierno Barry, who was unable to make contact to send it into the net.

Looking back on the moment, Alex Bruce was quick to praise Garner’s ability on BBC Radio 5 Live on 5 October.
He said: “What a fabulous ball from Garner. It’s worked its way out to Jack on the side, and it’s played back to Garner, and he whips it with his right foot towards the far corner; it just needed a touch from Barry.
“It was a wonderful ball, a striker’s dream, and he is so close to getting a toe on it.”
How good was Garner vs Crystal Palace?
