Everton have just done something for the first time in four years in win over Crystal Palace
Everton’s victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday was memorable after Jack Grealish netted a late winner for the Toffees.
It was an incredible performance from the Merseyside club, who staged a brilliant second-half display to turn the result on its head.
Carlos Alcaraz will take the plaudits for his performance for Everton, as the attacking midfielder came off the bench to change the game.
However, David Moyes also deserves credit for identifying the holes in the starting XI and quickly plugging them at half-time, in a match they were set to lose.

Everton come from behind to win for first time since 2021
While the Toffees have had some rotten luck in recent years, it appears the good times are on the horizon.
Everton had a sensational start to the 2025-26 campaign, with signings such as Grealish being incredible at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
While this form had dispersed in recent weeks, it was on show again in the second half on Sunday, as they ended Crystal Palace’s insane form at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Now, according to EFC Statto on 5 October, the comeback was the first time Everton have gone on to win a game after going behind since their victory over Arsenal in December 2021.

This is also combined with the fact that Everton’s three recent comeback victories at home have all been against Crystal Palace.

David Moyes needs to ensure Everton consistency after international break
While the first half was brilliant from Everton, it was extremely fortunate that Crystal Palace weren’t winning by three or four at half-time.
Jordan Pickford was forced to make numerous ridiculous saves for the Toffees to keep the scoreline level before the Eagles went ahead.
Realistically, against a better opponent, the game would have been over at half-time.
Therefore, Moyes has to ensure that there is more consistency in the Toffees’ performances, or they will be punished in the future.
