‘Jack Grealish permanent transfer to Everton not unrealistic now’ – David Ornstein
Everton fans have every right to demand that Jack Grealish is signed permanently at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 30-year-old has been the Toffees’ talisman this season, scoring a late winner against Crystal Palace in the Premier League at home on 5 October.
Grealish’s absence from the England squad for the October international break has surprised many, with the attacker certainly getting back to his best in LS4.
While Thomas Tuchel may not appreciate the Englishman’s talent, those at the Merseyside outfit will surely hope to extend his stay beyond this season.

When the news of the Toffees having a £50million option to buy Grealish broke, everyone laughed it off, David Ornstein says.
The Athletic journalist brought up early suggestions people had about the Blues ot triggering the forward’s permanent move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
But now, Ornstein feels the England international’s stay at the Merseyside outfit isn’t as unrealistic now, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
Speaking on The Athletic FC Podcast on 7 October, the journalist said: “I remember when I broke the news about there being a £50m option to buy, and everybody sort of laughed and said, ‘Well, that’s not going to be activated.’ Okay, it probably won’t, but it’s not so unrealistic now.”

Grealish and Tottenham’s Mohammed Kudus are tied for the most Premier League assists this season, showcasing the impact the Englishman has had in LS4.
The 30-year-old is getting his pomp back at the Toffees, and £50m may be a bargain if the forward agrees to complete a permanent transfer next summer.

Tuchel seems to have an issue with Grealish, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him exclude the forward from the 2026 World Cup squad despite his impressive displays.
The England manager has come under a lot of scrutiny from supporters after also leaving the likes of Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham out of the squad.

With the former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain head coach on a short-term contract with the Three Lions, he may not prioritise the long-term strategy for the team.
Grealish has certainly done enough to be under consideration for the England squad, and he will hope Tuchel sees the value in including him for the trip to Canada, Mexico and the United States.
