Sean Dyche in line for new Premier League job just months after Everton exit
Sean Dyche could be set for a return to the Premier League just nine months after he was sacked by Everton.
Everton’s owners, the Friedkin Group, sacked Dyche in January after a poor run of results and brought David Moyes back to Merseyside.
Moyes has turned Everton around, and they are no longer fighting relegation, like they were constantly under the ex-Burnley man.
However, Dyche is being lined up to come back to the top-flight of English football, sooner than expected.

Sean Dyche lined up for Nottingham Forest role
The ex-Everton boss was expected to be a contender for the Rangers job, but he ruled himself out of contention for that role earlier this week.
A report from The Telegraph on 11 October claims that Dyche is a front-runner for the Nottingham Forest job if Ange Postecoglou is dismissed.
It states that the former Blues boss is waiting in the wings to take over if Evangelos Marinakis decides to sack the current incumbent at the City Ground.
Everton could be haunted by Dyche comeback
Forest were expected to be challenging for a European place this season, but are currently languishing in 17th place, just above the relegation zone, after a miserable start to the campaign.
Dyche will be expected to take them back towards the top seven if he takes the role, and that could put a spanner in the Toffees’ plans.
- Dyche led Everton for a total of 83 matches
- He won 26, drawing 24 and losing 33
- He ultimately kept the Blues up in his two years in charge, but was dismissed with another drop zone battle on the cards
David Moyes’ side are trying to qualify for Europe themselves, and if their ex-manager comes into Forest and has them fighting for the same spot, he could come back to haunt the Blues.
The 54-year-old will be keen to do so, but whether it materialises and he gets the chance remains to be seen.
Given Marinakis’ chaotic nature, it would not be a surprise if it happens, though, which will be to the dismay of most Evertonians.
