Thomas Tuchel called out after England fan criticism with Jack Grealish treatment laid bare at Everton

Thomas Tuchel has come under fire after leaving Jack Grealish out of the England squad despite a stellar start to life at Everton.

Grealish signed for Everton on loan from Manchester City in the summer as David Moyes added firepower to his squad.

The England international has taken to life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium like a duck to water, with Grealish winning Premier League Player of the Month with Everton in August.

A permanent deal for Grealish could be possible at Everton after what has been a dream start to life on Merseyside.

England boss Tuchel still hasn’t seen enough from Grealish, with the German called out after what happened when the Three Lions beat Wales on Thursday.

Thomas Tuchel let himself down after England vs Wales

Ben Foster believes it is too late for Grealish with England with the World Cup just around the corner in America, Mexico and Canada.

The Goodison faithful don’t share the same opinion after what has already been a superb loan spell away from Man City for the attacking midfielder.

Tuchel agreed with the ex-Manchester United keeper as he opted to leave Grealish out of his squad for clashes against Wales and Latvia.

After a 3-0 win against the former, the former Chelsea boss slammed supporters at Wembley for being “silent” throughout the victory.

This hasn’t gone down well with Sunday People journalist Andy Dunn, who believes the introduction of Grealish would have improved the atmosphere in the capital.

Writing for the Sunday People on 12 October, he said: “During what was clearly going to be a comfortable England win, what might have helped the Wembley atmosphere was a box-office name putting in a box-office performance.

The only problem is that Thomas Tuchel had decided not to select his box-office players. Punters want to see marquee players such as Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish. None of them were in the squad.

Tuchel picked a side that was functional and did its job against Wales without getting overly excited. A bit like the Wembley crowd.

Everton could hand Grealish huge England boost

The result against Wales was positive for the Three Lions, but the need for someone like Grealish was still on fans’ minds.

The ex-Aston Villa star has always been a favourite with England supporters for his ability to get on the ball and make something happen.

It was fair that Tuchel dropped him after such a poor run of form with Manchester City, but he has already turned it around with Everton.

If the Toffees’ number 18 can continue to perform at the same level, the German could be left no choice but to pick the 30-year-old in upcoming squads.

Moyes will be confident of getting the best out of the versatile attacker, leaving Tuchel with a decision to make moving forward.
