Everton insiders reveal stance on Ivan Toney transfer, on David Moyes shortlist
David Moyes has had his eyes on a transfer for Ivan Toney since returning to Everton.
The 29-year-old joined the Roshn Saudi League last summer after catching a lot of attention at Brentford with his goalscoring abilities.
Toney has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him be excited to play with the likes of Jack Grealish to get his World Cup hopes back on track.
Thierno Barry arguably needs time to settle in the Premier League, while Beto has let Moyes down with his lack of reliability up front, making the addition of a new number nine sensible at the Merseyside outfit.

Ivan Toney not a target for Everton right now as complications arise
While Moyes had Toney on his shortlist after replacing Sean Dyche, the Toffees aren’t looking at him right now, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The news outlet reports on 23 October that Blues’ insiders are adamant that they haven’t rekindled their interest in the England international at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It’s been claimed there may be complications with his return to the Premier League due to tax issues.
The centre-forward has continued his goalscoring run in Saudi Arabia, but it doesn’t look like the Merseyside outfit are thinking about adding him to the squad anytime soon.

Toney should certainly be an option at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and a loan deal could potentially be a solution for the financial issues.
The Blues are in need of a new number nine as Beto and Barry have failed to live up to expectations this season, and the English striker could provide a short-term solution in January.
Ivan Toney record since leaving Premier League
Toney has continued to shine in Saudi Arabia, and his impressive goalscoring exploits should encourage the Merseysiders to make a move.
Everton are undoubtedly in desperate need of a striker like the Englishman, who has scored 39 goals in 56 appearances for Al-Ahli.

Last season, the centre-forward won the AFC Champions League title with the Saudi outfit and lifted the Saudi Super Cup at the start of the current campaign.
With Toney proving his worth in the Premier League in the 2022-23 season with 20 goals in 33 appearances, the Toffees should be looking to bring him back to England.
