Troy Deeney makes Jack Grealish claim in new Everton vs Tottenham prediction
Jack Grealish is set to return to the Everton squad for the clash with Tottenham on Sunday.
Grealish has started life at Everton brilliantly, picking up the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.
He then scored the winning goal as David Moyes‘ side ended Crystal Palace’s 19-match unbeaten run with a 1-0 win at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Grealish was ineligible to play for Everton against Manchester City, as they are his parent club, but he will be back and available for selection on 26 October.

Jack Grealish will be vital for Everton against Tottenham
Several pundits hit out at Everton being unable to call upon Grealish for the Etihad Stadium clash, but he will return on Sunday.
Troy Deeney has predicted that the Blues will come away with a 2-1 victory against Thomas Frank’s side, with Grealish playing a starring role.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 24 October (11:42 am), he said: “I’m going to go for Everton to win.
“I think Spurs, obviously playing in Europe, have been pretty poor of late.
“With Thomas Frank, they don’t concede a great deal of goals, but I just think Everton, with Jack Grealish having an extra week off, will have that little bit of zip about them.
“I think they will win 2-1.”
Everton need others to also step up, they cannot solely rely on Grealish
Deeney’s verdict may well come true, and Grealish may make the difference between the sides, but the Toffees cannot solely rely on the 30-year-old.
He will have off days, every player does, and they need others to also contribute to ensure that they are successful.
Iliman Ndiaye has started the season in brilliant form, with three goals and one assist, but the likes of Beto and Thierno Barry are not in the same boat.
- Grealish has notched one goal and four assists so far for Everton
- Ndiaye has been a reliable option, despite being switched to the right flank to accommodate Grealish
- Beto has one league goal and Barry has not scored for the Blues since joining this summer
Both strikers have struggled for goals at the start of the campaign, and Moyes needs one of them to start scoring on a regular basis, or it could spell trouble for his side.
If they do not, Grealish and Ndiaye’s form may count for nothing, and they may miss out on European qualification, which looks like a genuine possibility at the moment for the Blues.
