Adam Aznou considers Everton winter exit as main contender named

Adam Aznou could leave Everton in the winter transfer window, just months after signing for the club.

Everton signed Aznou from Bayern Munich in an £8million deal this summer, but he has found opportunities hard to come by since moving to Merseyside.

David Moyes has called on Aznou to develop physically before he becomes a genuine option for his first team, over Vitalii Mykolenko.

However, it seems as though the former Barcelona talent is not willing to wait for his chance at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Adam Aznou considering leaving Everton on loan

Aznou disappointed in Everton Under-21s defeat to Bradford on 14 October, and he does not seem any closer to a first-team place.

A report from Africa Foot on 26 October claims that Aznou is seriously considering a loan exit in the winter transfer market, to return to La Liga.

It states that Getafe, who nearly signed the 19-year-old in the summer, are the main contender to sign the La Masia graduate, and the Blues are willing to sanction the loan.

Can Everton afford to let Aznou leave?

Ultimately, the answer to whether the Blues can afford to let the promising youngster leave is no.

They do not have the depth at left-back to sanction a loan exit, despite the fact that he needs to play football for his development, to have any chance of becoming a star in L3.

If he was to depart, even on a temporary deal, it would leave the Toffees short in a position where they don’t have many options.

Moyes has already had to resort to playing James Garner there on several occasions, when Mykolenko was out with injury, so letting Aznou go would not make sense at all.

He should remain with the Blues, and be utilised when necessary, and it would be a mistake if they allowed him to go out on loan.
