Premier League completely clueless as latest announcement to infuriate Everton

Everton fans will undoubtedly feel like the Premier League is out to get them before facing Sunderland on Monday.

Thomas Bramall has been named the referee at the Stadium of Light as the Toffees travel to Wearside on 3 November.

The Blues faithful won’t have fond memories of the official, with Sean Dyche’s team arguably denied a penalty in 0-0 against Fulham in 2021 after James Tarkowski’s header came off the crossbar and was handled by Antonee Robinson on the line.

Moyes will be looking to get the better of Regis Le Bris, and the Scottish manager will hope his star players, who certainly haven’t gotten the recognition they deserve this season, produce the goods against the Black Cats.

Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye not nominated for Premier League October Player of the Month

Iliman Ndiaye has been in red-hot form in the current campaign for the Toffees, scoring three goals and providing one assist in nine league matches.

Even when the Senegal international has gotten on the scoresheet, he has mesmerised onlookers and given the opposition trouble with his quality on the ball.

Ndiaye was sensational against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on 18 October, despite the Blues losing 2-0.

The 25-year-old once again stood out for the Merseyside outfit as Tottenham became the first team to win at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 26 October.

The Senegalese forward started the month with another incredible display against Crystal Palace at home, scoring in the 2-1 win on 5 October.

Yet, the Premier League have excluded Ndiaye from the October Player of the Month nominees, with Aston Villa’s Matty Cash, Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes, Erling Haaland, Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, Bryan Mbeumo, Sunderland defender Nordi Mukiele, Brentford striker Igor Thiago and Jurrien Timber making the list.

David Moyes to do the unexpected vs Sunderland

Beto and Thierno Barry have been nowhere near good enough for Moyes, and it’s time the Scottish manager did something different against Sunderland.

With Ndiaye showcasing his versatility after fitting in well on the right-wing, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Senegal international thrive as a false nine.

A change in formation could see the designated Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall play as a number eight alongside Idrissa Gueye and James Garner in the engine room, leaving room for the former Olympique Marseille forward to operate through the middle.

It would also allow Moyes to give Tyler Dibling more minutes in his favoured position, but it remains to be seen whether the Scottish manager will opt for a tweak to his system.
