Dimitar Berbatov makes scary Everton fans admission on Halloween – ‘Hated it’
David Moyes is the perfect fit for what Everton fans want to see.
Everton fans are among the most passionate in England, as opposition teams never enjoy an away game against the Toffees.
Moyes has been praised for the work he’s done since returning to Everton, but the Blues need to regain their form once again after hitting a lull since the international break.
Everton play Sunderland next in the Premier League, but before then, all Toffees will be delighted to hear a recent admission made by former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov.

Goodison Park and Everton fans gave Dimitar Berbatov the chills
Everton moved from Goodison Park to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, starting from the beginning of the 2025-26 season.
The move was a controversial one as Goodison Park seemed to always benefit Everton in games, as the stadium and fans acted as a 12th man.
| Games | Wins | Goals scored | Goals Conceded |
| 2,791 | 1,538 | 5,370+ | 3,028 |
TNT Sports Football revealed on their Instagram page a response Berbatov gave to a question about the scariest away days he had while playing in the Premier League, including what he “hated”.
Berbatov said: “Scariest ground – Everton back in the days. Big guys in the back, kicking you all day long, fans close to the pitch and screaming at you.
“Hated playing there, but loved scoring there.”
Goodison Park will always go down in history as one of the scariest places for opposition players to go, but Everton have made their best attempt at replacing it.
Everton fans are making the Hill Dickinson Stadium a fortress
Everton’s loss against Tottenham marked the first loss in the Hill Dickinson Stadium after a solid start to life at the new home of the Toffees.
So far, it’s clear to see that Hill Dickinson is benefiting Everton in the same ways that Goodison Park once did.
Everton’s record at the Hill Dickinson Stadium so far:
- Games: 6
- Wins: 3
- Draws: 2
- Losses: 1
If Everton fans take a look at what West Ham have done, for example, they should feel proud that their club have managed to make such a smooth transition to a new home.
All good things must come to an end, but as one door closes, another opens at Bramley‑Moore Dock, and under Moyes, Everton could be stepping into a new chapter of glory.
