Everton share important Hill Dickinson Stadium travel announcement ahead of Rugby League Ashes

Everton’s new home will play host to rugby on Saturday afternoon.

This season has been one of change for Everton, who officially moved into the Hill Dickinson Stadium after years at Goodison Park.

While the Premier League campaign has had its ups and downs for Everton, their transition to their new home has been nearly flawless.

On Saturday, the Rugby League Ashes will be played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Toffees sharing a new announcement for supporters planning on being in attendance.

Travel plans in place at Hill Dickinson Stadium

England take on Australia on Merseyside, as the second test of the first Ashes series comes to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

With the match due to start at 2:30pm GMT, tickets are sold out, with supporters from all around the UK expected to be in attendance.

As a result, Everton have urged supporters to travel early to the game via an announcement on their site, with several events ongoing throughout the city.

Liverpool play host to Aston Villa later in the day, while Tranmere are also at home to Stockport County in the FA Cup.

Everton have made clear that there will be three dedicated shuttle services for supporters attending the Ashes, with one from Liverpool ONE Bus Station, one from Cmmutation Row, and one from Bootle Strand Bus Station.

Fans in close proximity to the stadium can also walk or cycle as normal, with cycle parking and pedestrian routes open.

Hill Dickinson Stadium will bring plenty of income to Everton

It won’t only be football or rugby that gets played at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with plenty of other opportunities likely to follow.

Talks are underway for the Euros to have fixtures played on Merseyside in 2028, which would bring plenty of benefits.

Whether this be concerts or other entertainment events, Everton will soon have a steady income in regard to commercial opportunities.

It will also host a Christmas party, starting from 5 December, with full details available on the Everton site.
