Gabby Agbonlahor destroys Beto after what he’s heard from David Moyes at Everton
Everton fans may soon lose patience with Beto after his dismal performances for Everton this season.
The Guinea-Bissau striker has been the Toffees’ first-choice number nine in recent months, but he’s done little to warrant that position.
Beto has let David Moyes down on several occasions, with the centre-forward missing some glaring opportunities to score in the current campaign.
With Thierno Barry not doing any better in the Premier League, the Scottish manager could potentially have a clear priority in the winter transfer window.

Beto not good enough for Everton
Gabby Agbonlahor doesn’t seem to like Beto after his underwhelming performances for the Toffees.
The former Aston Villa striker feels Moyes has already taken digs at the two strikers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Scottish manager wanting them to do more to create opportunities.
Agbonlahor has destroyed the Guinea-Bissau number nine’s quality, as he’s unable to showcase the required talent up front.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 30 October, the Villa icon said: “Beto, I’m not having him one bit, and Barry, the two strikers. Moyes comes out with little digs as well, like ‘sometimes the strikers have got to make their own goals’. Like he’s not happy with what they’re doing. The ball bounces off him. A bit erratic. They need a better centre-forward for sure.”
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Beto lose his place in the starting lineup against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on 3 November, with the Merseysiders in desperate need of a Premier League victory.
The Blues are 14th in the table after losing back-to-back league games against Manchester City and Tottenham, and another loss could leave them even closer to the relegation zone.
David Moyes to sign former Premier League striker in January
Al-Ahli striker Ivan Toney has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and it’s a deal the Toffees arguably desperately need.
The former Brentford attacker established himself as a reliable goalscorer in the Premier League before moving to the Roshn Saudi League in 2024.

In the 2022-23 season, the England international scored 20 goals in 33 league appearances for the Bees.
Only time will tell whether The Friedkin Group (TFG) will want to invest in a new number nine in L4.
