Everton go all out to seal Karl Etta Eyong transfer in January as Real Madrid development emerges
Everton could eye up a move for Levante striker Karl Etta Eyong in the January transfer window.
The toffees are desperately in need of a new frontman, with Beto and Thierno Barry currently sharing just one Premier League goal between them so far this season.
Dusan Vlahovic has been suggested as a target for Everton, but the competition that they are likely to face for his signature would surely make that an unlikely pursuit.
David Moyes’ side are lacking depth at the top of the pitch, and that could see them revisit one of their summer pursuits at a particularly timely moment.

Everton must go back in for Karl Etta Eyong in January
Everton were linked with Etta Eyong in the summer, and even made contact with Villarreal about the possibility of making a move for him.
The 22-year-old ended up joining Levante in the latter stages of the summer, where he has since gone from strength to strength in the early stages of the season.
The frontman has five goals and one assist from the opening seven La Liga games, and that has unsurprisingly attracted some of the powerhouses of world football.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are already tracking the starlet, while Arsenal and both Manchester clubs are also keen, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The Toffees will surely be wishing that they pushed harder for a deal in the summer, but they may still have time to get their noses in front.
With that in mind, The Friedkin Group should be looking to go all out for Etta Eyong in January, as the wealth of interest should be an eye-catching indication that he has a massive future ahead of him.
Given the calibre of clubs that are now interested, the only way Everton will be able to win the race for him is if they act quickly and decisively.

Beto is already drastically underperforming his xG
Beto is struggling badly for form at Everton so far this season, as he continues to look like a striker who relies heavily on confidence.
The Guinea-Bissau international has just one league goal to his name so far this term, despite having an xG of 3.71 so far.
The 27-year-old is simply not clinical enough to be a first-choice striker in the Premier League, and it is no surprise to see him underperforming his xG so drastically at the moment.
Beto’s struggles have persisted for several seasons now, and if Everton are to truly progress as a team, then they simply have to find a significant upgrade on him as quickly as possible.
