‘Beto is the Premier League’s worst striker’ as laughable statistic emerges ahead of Sunderland vs Everton
Beto has been heavily criticised throughout the current Premier League campaign.
The striker has continuously failed to find the back of the net despite numerous chances being created for the attacker.
The likes of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have been some of the Premier League’s best creative outlets this season. Yet, their creativity has not been rewarded with further assists.
Beto has been a massive reason behind this, and with David Moyes preparing the Toffees for a trip to the Stadium of Light on Monday, a shocking statistic has emerged.

Beto has the worst xG-to-goals ratio in the Premier League
Despite Beto hitting form at Everton upon Moyes’ appointment, the striker has had few redeeming factors this campaign.
To date, the striker has only picked up a single goal in the Premier League this season and is without an assist.
Now, with the Sunderland game approaching, Opta on 3 November has revealed that Beto currently has the worst xG-to-goals ratio in the Premier League.
- Beto’s only goal this season in the Premier League came in the 3-2 win against Wolves
- Since August, he has not found the back of the net in the division
- The striker has been consistently criticised for his displays.
As it stands, the attacker has produced a 3.71 xG, but has only converted once, giving him a -2.71 xG.
This is by far the worst in the Premier League, with Bruno Fernandes following at -2.37.
The next striker on the list is Jean-Philippe Mateta with a -2.00, but the attacker still has six goals to his name in the division this season.
Therefore, it is fair to assume that, given the chances he has missed that Beto is currently the worst striker in the Premier League.
No other attacker is missing the chances he is getting, on top of having a terrible goal tally to date.
With Beto already being linked away from Everton, surely Moyes will look to move on the striker soon before his form tanks his value further.

Does Beto have any redeeming stats this season at Everton?
According to Sofascore on 3 November, there are few positives for Beto this season.
The striker has only converted a fifth of the big chances he has had, and is rarely creating for his teammates.

While the striker is getting touches inside the box, he is clearly doing little with the ball, which is resulting in no positive impact.
As it stands, Moyes may as well play anyone else up top, as they will surely have a better output than Beto.
