James Ward-Prowse backed to join forces with David Moyes: ‘The perfect club for him in January would be Everton’
Everton have been tipped to make a move for James Ward-Prowse during the January transfer window.
Back-to-back defeats in the Premier League have exposed the weaknesses in the Toffees’ squad, and they will be desperate to rectify that in January.
The Friedkin Group spent relatively heavily at Everton during the summer window, but it would be no surprise to see further additions arrive in January to bolster the ranks.
David Moyes signed Ward-Prowse from Southampton for £30million during his days as West Ham boss, and he could be about to repeat the trick on Merseyside.

Everton to eye Ward-Prowse swoop as West Ham want sale
It has recently been suggested that Everton could make a move for Ward-Prowse in January, as he has failed to make a single matchday squad since Nuno’s arrival at the end of September.
It has recently emerged that the Hammers are keen to move the 30-year-old on in January, according to The Times, and it has quickly become apparent that he isn’t fancied by the new regime.
The midfielder is a player of vast experience with over 400 Premier League appearances to his name, and his set-piece delivery has been revered across English football for several years.
Ex-Everton scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Ward-Prowse could be a perfect option for the Toffees to explore in January, especially given Idrissa Gueye’s likely absence for AFCON.
“A move to Everton would certainly give him a new lease of life,” King said.
“He’s too good a player to be left out of that West Ham team. Once it gets personal between a manager and a player, things have got to be resolved, and if they can’t be resolved between the pair of them, then Ward-Prowse should be on his way out.
“The perfect club for him in January would be Everton. Gueye is likely to be missing for several weeks, so Ward-Prowse would be a very good replacement for him.

“He’s got a very good delivery, and he can score goals from distance. He’s a talented, quality player.”
Why is Ward-Prowse available in January?
Everton have been linked with Ward-Prowse in the past, but it feels much more likely that a deal could take place this time around, given the stance that West Ham have taken.
The England international is not on good terms with Nuno Espirito Santo, as a result of an issue between the pair that stems from their time together at Nottingham Forest last season.
Ward-Prowse had his loan cancelled midway through the campaign after just 10 appearances for the Reds, and it has been a similar story at West Ham since Nuno came through the door.
The former Southampton man needs to play under a boss who values him, and with that in mind, a January switch to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to reunite with Moyes could be ideal for his career.
