Iliman Ndiaye dubbed ‘one of the best in Premier League’ after Everton heroics vs Sunderland
Iliman Ndiaye has often been a shining light for Everton in dark times.
Since David Moyes came back to Everton, the Toffees have seen progress, but there is still room for massive improvement.
Everton drew 1-1 with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Monday night, as the Blues left the North-East frustrated yet again.
Jack Grealish was disappointed with Everton’s performance in the second half as the Mackems came close to snatching a victory.
Ndiaye scored a magnificent solo effort against Sunderland after a mazy run was topped with a beautiful finish, as the Everton forward has now received further praise.

Jamie O’Hara
Ndiaye is Everton‘s top goal scorer so far this campaign with four league goals.
As Beto and Theirno Barry continue to struggle, Ndiaye has been the main man to step up for Everton in recent times.
Ndiaye against Sunderland:
- Ndiaye’s goal had an expected goal (xG) rate of 0.11, according to Sofascore
- Five Sunderland players failed to tackle/block Ndiaye’s dribble/shot for the goal
- Ndiaye picked up a Sofascore rating of 7.5 and now averages 7.01 per Premier League game
Former Tottenham man Jamie O’Hara shared a flattering claim on X, while watching Everton’s game against Sunderland, that Ndiaye is “one of the best” in the entire Premier League.
O’Hara said: “Ndiaye is one of the best players in the Premier League, top drawer he is.”
The praise comes as no real surprise, as Jamie Carragher has already been taken aback by Ndiaye, with more respectable footballing figures now taking notice of the Everton star.
Ndiaye’s statistics prove he’s one of the best in the Premier League, as Everton will have a difficult job on their hands come January.
Everton need to brace for January transfer interest in Ndiaye
Everton have had poor performances as of late, and really need to find their winning mentality again.
Luckily for the Toffees, they have a favourable match-up against Fulham next in the Premier League, which will take place at the Hill Dickinson.

However, the January transfer window is only around the corner, and Ndiaye’s performances will no doubt be attracting interest.
Moyes’ Everton are not in a position to promise Ndiaye European football or silverware, as the Toffees may find it hard to keep their standout man beyond the winter if big interest emerges.
