Supercomputer predicts outcome of Everton vs Fulham in Premier League showdown

Everton have been tipped to get back to winning ways in the Premier League against Fulham on Saturday at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Monday saw Everton draw 1-1 with Sunderland to make it three consecutive Premier League matches without victory for David Moyes‘ men.

Iliman Ndiaye had opened the scoring with a stunning strike before Granit Xhaka’s deflected effort made its way past Jordan Pickford to level the scores.

Everton’s desperate need to sign a striker in January was plainly evident again on Monday, with several key chances going begging.

The quality is there, with Everton predicted to climb the Premier League table before the season’s end, but Moyes must find a solution to the Toffees’ goal-scoring woes before any consistency can be found.

Jamie Carragher was blown away by Ndiaye’s performance against Sunderland, and rightly so.

The winger was in sensational form, and constantly looked like he could cause problems for the Black Cats’ backline.

And he did exactly that when he picked up the ball in the 15th minute, taking on two, three players before placing past Robin Roefs in the Sunderland goal.

Ndiaye was forced off through injury in the 62nd minute, but Moyes fanned concerns after the final whistle.

“I don’t think it’s anything serious,” said the Scot. “He wasn’t sure if he was cramping up or something tightening up so we felt it wasn’t worth taking the risk at the time.”

Everton will hope the Senegal international will be fit to feature against Fulham on Saturday – a game that Opta‘s supercomputer has given them a 46.7 per cent chance of winning.

The visitors, who have struggled in recent weeks, have been given just a 26.9 per cent chance of emerging victorious, while the supercomputer has proposed a 26.4 per cent chance of it ending level.

Fulham end four-game losing streak

Fulham have struggled to replicate the strong form that saw them finish 11th last season so far in this campaign.

A run of four consecutive losses against Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Newcastle United had seen the Whites in a serious spot of bother.

Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Wolves ended that run, however, and Marco Silva’s side will now hope to record back-to-back Premier League wins for the second time this season when they take on Everton.

Harry Wilson and Ryan Sessegnon have both been in good form this season, but former Toffee Alex Iwobi is the pick of the bunch at Craven Cottage.

The midfielder is a constant driving force for Fulham, and will be at the top of the list for Moyes and his coaching team when analysing the visitors’ threats ahead of Saturday’s clash.
