Thierno Barry told to ‘clear his head’ after what pundit saw him do at Stadium of Light

Thierno Barry’s nightmare start to his Everton career continued at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening.

Everton signed Barry this summer from Villarreal, and he has not hit the heights that were expected of him after making that move.

Barry is yet to open his account for the Hill Dickinson Stadium side, despite being given ample opportunities to do so by David Moyes.

It is a real problem for the Blues, as their other option, Beto, is not providing the required firepower, either.

Former Premier League striker gives Thierno Barry advice after his horror miss vs Sunderland

Barry’s struggles in front of goal for Everton continued on Wearside, as he put a glorious chance over the crossbar from close range.

Former West Ham striker Dean Ashton told Barry that he should have cleared his head after the abysmal miss against the Black Cats.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 3 November, he said: “He just has to clear his head in that situation. You wouldn’t let him choose your restaurant tonight, would you?”

How can David Moyes fix Everton’s goalscoring problems?

Everton do not score enough goals, that is the simple issue that has hampered Moyes’ side this season.

Their striking options do not offer a regular goal threat, and it is something that needs sorting sooner rather than later, if the Blues are to achieve their ambitions of European qualification.

Everton could enter the market for Ivan Toney, a proven top-flight striker, to resolve their issues when the transfer market.

The only other solution is to choose one of the strikers and rely on them to eventually come up with the goods.

Barry would be the better option, as he is younger, and Beto has had plenty of time to prove himself, and has not done it.

One thing is for sure though, if Moyes cannot solve the problem, then the Toffees will not finish in the top half and will be left fighting towards the bottom of the table once again.
