David Moyes on the verge of another transfer blunder as Everton scouts spotted at European club
Everton are believed to be continuing their chase of Franculino Dju, according to recent reports.
The striker has impressed at FC Midtjylland after being previously linked with a move to Merseyside in the summer.
With Everton continuing to be blunt in attack, David Moyes is targeting potential reinforcements up top, with Dju being an option.
A report from Bold on 3 November claims that Toffees scouts were present at FC Midtjylland’s match against AGF on Monday amid these rumours, with the striker getting on the scoresheet once again.
However, the pursuit could prove to be costly for Moyes.

Franculino Dju could be another expensive striker flop
Everton’s luck with strikers has been poor in recent years.
To date, the Toffees’ two senior strikers have only netted one goal combined in the Premier League this campaign.
As it stands, Thierno Barry looks like an Everton expensive flop, with the Frenchman yet to find the net since his big summer move.
However, this could well be repeated soon with Dju.
- Dju has been linked with Everton since the summer transfer window
- The striker has netted 13 times in 13 Danish Superliga matches
- Dju has also scored twice in the Europa League this season
Reports suggest that Everton would have to pay £17.5million for Dju, despite the 21-year-old only hitting serious form this season.
Given his little experience outside of Denmark, it would likely be hard for the striker to quickly adapt to the Premier League and hit the ground running.
Therefore, Moyes could be on the verge of yet another transfer blunder, with Everton in need of a proven Premier League striker, rather than taking a gamble on another potential gem.
What are Dju’s stats this season?
While Dju may end up being an expensive flop at Everton, his stats are impressive.
According to Sofascore on 5 November, the striker is averaging a goal every 76 minutes in the Danish Superliga.
Boasting a conversion ratio of 37 per cent, the 21-year-old is clearly clinical in front of goal.
Nevertheless, Everton would do well to at least wait until the end of the season to assess the target rather than going all out in January for his signature.
