Everton to green light Franculino transfer after David Moyes admission
Franculino could re-emerge as a serious transfer target for Everton come January.
Everton are in deep trouble this season if they don’t address their lack of goal threat, with both Thierno Barry and Beto failing to showcase their worth in the Premier League so far.
Barry started in Everton’s latest 1-1 draw away to Sunderland, and after missing a golden opportunity from just a few yards out, and generally struggling to have any influence in the game, he has demonstrated the need for reinforcements in the winter.
The signing of a striker has to be the number one priority for Everton this summer, and they may look to revisit one of their previous targets.

David Moyes has made it clear what Everton need
Everton have now dropped points to two of the three newly-promoted sides, though that is the least of their worries.
Dating back to even last season, the Toffees have lacked a reliable source of goals, and the signing of Barry was supposed to rectify that; it hasn’t.
After the draw to Sunderland, Moyes said to BBC Sport: “Goals make the difference and can change how you feel as a manager.
“Coming to Sunderland, a point is not a bad result, but after 30 minutes, I was feeling ‘we’re alright here, we should get a result.”
Everton were linked with Franculino in the summer transfer window, and after the start he has had to the season, it is something they need to look at again.
Franculino has been on fire for FC Midtjylland
Not only is Franculino still just 21 years old with plenty of development ahead of him, but he is already the complete package.
So far this season, the Guinea-Bissau striker has 17 goals and three assists in all competitions, including three goals in the Europa League.
Since joining the Danish outfit in 2023, he has netted 50 times in 97 appearances, showcasing his finishing instincts.
Given his lack of experience in the top leagues, it could be a risk, but Everton need to try something to address their concerns.
