Everton vs Fulham: Players you didn’t know played for both teams
Everton play Fulham on Saturday at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as David Moyes’ side look to get back to winning ways.
On Monday, Everton drew 1-1 with Sunderland, continuing the barren run that has seen Moyes‘ side win just one game from their last eight.
Saturday’s match should provide a good chance to get back to winning ways, however, with Fulham facing a tough recent run themselves.
Everton are the favourites to beat Fulham, with former Toffees coach Marco Silva‘s side looking to build on their victory over Wolves last weekend.
Looking ahead to the game, Goodison News remembers some of the names to have played for both teams over the years.

Louis Saha
Alex Iwobi is Everton’s fourth most expensive signing ever, and likely the first name that pops into the head of younger fans when they think of players to have played for both the Toffees and Fulham.
The 29-year-old left Goodison Park in 2023, and has progressed into a top-class Premier League midfielder with the Cottagers.
But slightly older heads will remember Louis Saha, who spent four years with Fulham before joining Everton after a stint with Manchester United.
The French striker enjoyed superb spells with both clubs, scoring 63 goals at Craven Cottage, and netting 34 at Goodison Park.
One incredible evening on Merseyside saw Saha score four against Blackpool, in a match that remarkably ended 5-3.
The forward would call time on his career in 2013, having won the Champions League, and the Premier League twice.
Andy Johnson
Andy Johnson made the switch to join Fulham from Everton in 2008, joining in a deal worth around £10.5million.
The former England international had scored 22 goals for the Toffees across 74 appearances, and would only go on to score five more at Fulham, despite playing 38 more games.
Johnson’s best spell came at Crystal Palace, where he had bagged an impressive 83 goals before joining Everton.
Following his departure from Fulham in 2012, Johnson would play for QPR before returning to the Eagles, where he would hang up his boots.
John Heitinga
Everton signed John Heitinga from Atletico Madrid in 2009, paying around £6.2m for the 25-year-old defender.
The Dutchman scored just five goals across his 140 appearances for the Toffees, but when he did, it was usually a cracker.
One brilliant Heitinga goal saw him place the ball into the top corner from outside the box against Birmingham City, with the type of technique you would expect from a cultured midfielder.
| John Heitinga | Years |
| Ajax | 2001-08 |
| Atletico Madrid | 2008-09 |
| Everton | 2009-14 |
| Fulham | 2014 |
| Hertha BSC | 2014-15 |
| Ajax | 2015-16 |
The defender joined Fulham on a free transfer after leaving Everton, but would spend just six months with the Cottagers before leaving.
He has since gone into management, serving as an assistant coach to Arne Slot last season at Liverpool, and now managing his former club Ajax.
