David Moyes shares Iliman Ndiaye update ahead of Everton vs Fulham
David Moyes has shared an update on the state of his Everton squad for their clash with Fulham on Saturday.
Moyes could join an exclusive Premier League club alongside the likes of Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson if his side can get the win.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium crowd will be restless on 8 November, as their side have won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Moyes needs to get Everton’s season back on track against the Cottagers, but that probably depends on who is available to him.
David Moyes shares positive Ndiaye update for Everton vs Fulham
Jarrad Branthwaite is a long-term absentee for Everton, and Nathan Patterson is another who is set for a long spell on the sidelines.
Moyes confirmed that Iliman Ndiaye should be fit for the contest, after he was an injury doubt throughout the week.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, he said: “He’s fine, he trained today, so hopefully everything is okay.”
Moyes also called on Jack Grealish to step up and “add to his tally of assists and score a couple of goals more.”
Everton need Ndiaye to be fit for Fulham clash
Ndiaye is arguably the Blues’ most important player at the moment, capable of unlocking defences with one spectacular moment.
That was evident in the draw with Sunderland as he produced a stunning solo effort to give the Toffees the lead.
- Ndiaye has played 12 times this season for the Blues in all competitions
- He has notched four goals and one assist in those matches
- He also has a goal and an assist in his last two Senegal caps
The fact that he is fit will be a huge relief for Moyes, as he is one of the only regular threats that the Merseysiders have, and constantly comes up with something, even though he is playing in an unfamiliar position on the right.
The likes of Thierno Barry and Beto have proven that they cannot score enough in the top-flight, and Jack Grealish has gone off the boil lately.
Ndiaye has been the one to pick up the slack, and his potential absence would have been a huge worry for Moyes all week.
