Jack Grealish England fear shared after Everton man snubbed again

Everton star Jack Grealish’s chances of earning a World Cup call-up with England seems to be more unlikely than ever.

Grealish started his Everton career in stunning fashion, winning the Premier League Player of the Month award in August.

He maintained that form despite results not going David Moyes‘ side’s way, but he was still not called up to Thomas Tuchel‘s squad in September or October.

It seems as though the ex-Chelsea boss has made up his mind on the Hill Dickinson Stadium ace’s chances already, after he was snubbed for the latest squad for the games against Serbia and Albania.

No Jack Grealish in the England squad, again

Grealish is surely asking what more he can possibly do at Everton to get back in the squad for the tournament in America.

Even with the possibility of Anthony Gordon pulling out through injury, Three Lions correspondent Faye Carruthers does not believe that Tuchel needs to call up the Blues star.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 7 November after the squad was announced, she said: “There are enough players that can cover that left berth, Eberechi Eze can play there, Morgan Rogers can play there, so I don’t think he would need a Jack Grealish in, even though, of course there is a clamour to see him back in the England squad.

“I do fear, although Thomas Tuchel has said he does not rule anything out, and you never know in terms of injury what happens, but because this is the penultimate camp before he names his squad for the World Cup, time is running out for Jack Grealish.”

David Moyes will be relieved as Grealish left out again, it will benefit Everton

While the personal impact for Grealish will be disappointing, Moyes will be relieved, as his star man cannot get injured on international duty if he is not called up.

The decision to leave the Manchester City loanee out once again is utterly baffling, but the Scotsman will surely see the benefits.

Grealish will stay fit rather than risking an issue, and he will be more determined than ever to impress Tuchel and try to force his way into his plans.

It looks like an uphill battle for the 30-year-old, but he will still believe that he can change the manager’s mind.

Grealish deserves it, but it looks like he is not going to be handed a spot on the plane for the biggest tournament in world football.
