Everton have finally made Vitalii Mykolenko contract decision as Bournemouth eye transfer swoop

Everton have finally made a decision regarding the future of Vitalii Mykolenko.

The Ukraine international has become a key player for the Toffees in recent years, and he has already started seven of their 10 Premier League games so far this term.

Mykolenko is out of contract at Everton at the end of the current campaign, and that has prompted speculation that he could be on his way out, as interest has mounted from abroad.

David Moyes and Co. have had a key decision to make over the level of value that they see in the left-back, and their intentions have just become clear ahead of the January window.

Everton want to keep Vitalii Mykolenko

Mykolenko’s future at Everton has been subject to speculation for several weeks now, especially after the Merseysiders recently handed new deals to the likes of Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski.

However, they now appear to have finally decided on the left-back’s fate, and they are ready to act on that in the coming weeks.

Everton are prepared to offer Mykolenko a new deal, and they are close to having a proposal ready to extend his stay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, according to SportsBoom.

This comes amid interest from elsewhere in the Premier League in the form of Bournemouth, with the Cherries keen to add to their options on the left of their backline this winter.

Neverthless, Everton aren’t thought to be worried about the prospect of losing Mykolenko, and they are said to be “relaxed” about his current situation ahead of the January window.

James Garner contract has to be David Moyes’ priority

James Garner is another Everton star who could leave for free in the summer as things stand, and given his progression as a player in recent years, that simply cannot be allowed to happen.

The 24-year-old has developed into a reliable and consistent Premier League midfielder, and it should be the absolutely top priority for Moyes and Co. to try and tie him down to a new deal in the coming months.

The former Manchester United academy graduate will have senior England aspirations within the next few years, and remaining a key figure at Everton could be the perfect environment for him to continue to show his talent on a weekly basis.

Garner is a player who is bound to attract interest from elsewhere, and as a result, it is vital that Everton move quickly to address his future.
