Alan Shearer only says one word about Everton vs Fulham before interruption on Match of the Day
Alan Shearer had little to say about Everton’s return to winning ways at the Hill Dickinson Stadium against Fulham on Saturday.
Everton beat Fulham 2-0 in the Premier League, ending a run of three consecutive league matches without victory.
Idrissa Gueye opened the scoring just before the break, before Michael Keane added the second with a glancing header.
Thierno Barry had an impressive game against Fulham, with the striker handed consecutive Premier League starts for the first time under David Moyes.
After receiving a standing ovation from the Everton faithful, Barry took to social media to thank the fans and explain his previous performances.

Alan Shearer has one-word verdict on Everton vs Fulham
A sense of frustration has surrounded Everton of late, with the Toffees enduring a barren two-month run that saw them win just one from eight across all competitions.
The striking situation has been a constant topic of conversation, with Barry and Beto swapped in and out by Moyes, and with little effect.

The Scot was bold in his decision to stick with the 22-year-old after Monday’s match, in which the 22-year-old missed a massive opportunity for his first Everton goal.
Barry fired over from close range against Sunderland and was left with his head in his hands.
But Moyes backed the Frenchman, and was rewarded with a strong performance which appeared to encourage the rest of the team, too.
Speaking on BBC Match of the Day on Saturday, Theo Walcott was hugely complimentary, waxing lyrical about Barry and several other Everton players.
When it came to Shearer on the Toffees’ performance, however, the former Newcastle United striker could only say the word “yep”, before he was cut off and the coverage moved on to Walcott again.

Everton fans to be disappointed by Shearer’s silence
Everton fans would have been particularly interested to know Shearer’s thoughts on the impact of Barry against Fulham.
The Premier League record scorer, of course, knows what it is like to be a young striker in the top flight, and more than anyone else, knows what it takes to thrive.
But Shearer was silent on the topic and on Everton generally during the analysis. Fortunately, Walcott was positive in his thoughts and gave the Frenchman the credit he deserved.
The Toffees can certainly expect some thoughts from the former striker when Everton play Newcastle United at the end of the month, however.
