Thierno Barry defends himself after latest move, says he has to laugh at his own troubles
Thierno Barry will feel like the world is against him after failing to score in Everton’s 2-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.
Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane’s goals secured a first win in four matches for David Moyes’ side at a vibrant Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Barry will feel frustrated to have had a goal ruled out for offside, yet it was arguably the most promising performance an Everton striker has had all season.
The result leaves Everton 11th in the Premier League table, whilst Fulham are in 15th.
After the match, Barry took to social media to address Everton fans about his Instagram profile picture, saying he never meant to cause any possible anger.

Thierno Barry addresses profile picture controversy after goalless start continues
Moyes has a good record against Fulham, and his side were excellent in ensuring they wouldn’t lose back-to-back games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton are interested in a new striker, and it was no surprise that it was a midfielder who got them up and running on Saturday.
The French striker was given another chance to lead the line on 8 November, and there were promising signs that he will eventually come good for the Toffees.
Barry had come under scrutiny for changing his profile picture recently, but it was a nice touch for him to speak out, and fans will surely be pleased that he is open about his struggles.
After the match against Fulham, Barry posted on social media to address his Instagram profile picture, which is an image of him on the bench after being withdrawn in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland.

Barry wrote: “Regarding my profile picture, there’s absolutely no disrespect toward you, it’s just that I’m laughing at my own situation because it’s better to laugh than to cry.”
The French striker was abysmal against Sunderland, missing a glorious chance from three yards out that cost them any chance of the win.
Having joined the Toffees from Villarreal for a fee of £27million, a lot of faith has been placed in him to deliver key goals to the team, yet he is still waiting for his first in an Everton shirt.

Beto and Barry have one goal between them this season, and that simply isn’t enough for a team that is looking to finish in the top half of the table.
Tony Cascarino praises Thierno Barry for best Everton performance yet
His overall play against the Cottagers was promising on Saturday, and it feels like it will only be a matter of time before he gets off the mark.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 9 November, Tony Cascarino was full of praise for the young striker.

He said: “The Evertonians were brilliant to him on Saturday, and all he can do his do what he did yesterday.
“He worked his backside off, he chased everything, and he led the line brilliantly. Without scoring, Barry played really well, and it was his best performance in an Everton shirt.
Whilst a new striker is likely to come in during the January transfer window, it seems as though Beto will be the man to leave, not Barry.
