Friedkin Group plans abundantly clear amid unexpected Iliman Ndiaye and Juventus news

Juventus are interested in signing Iliman Ndiaye from Everton after the attacker’s superb start to the season.

Ndiaye has scored four goals and assisted another in 11 Premier League appearances for Everton this campaign.

Senegal international Ndiaye has been labelled one of the Premier League’s best after impressing since his £15million move from Marseille in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Ndiaye’s price tag has since shot up to £50m, but Everton will be reluctant to see their star performer depart anytime soon.

Everton respond as Juventus set sights on Iliman Ndiaye

Given Ndiaye’s figures in the Premier League at a side operating in the bottom half of the table, it comes as little surprise to see him linked with a move away.

According to Tutto Juve, Juventus have set their sights on Ndiaye as Luciano Spalletti is eager to strengthen his attack.

Ndiaye ticks a lot of boxes for what European heavyweights Juventus are after, not least his ability to score and create goals.

However, the same report adds that Everton have already made it clear Ndiaye will not be sold next year.

Indeed, David Moyes has already said Ndiaye is not for sale, which will be music to the ears of every Everton supporter.

As highlighted by Sofascore data, Ndiaye leads the way among Everton players for goals and assists combined, games played in all competitions and successful dribbles per game (2.31).

Ndiaye played a full part as Everton beat Fulham 3-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday to climb up to 13th in the Premier League.

Friedkin Group will aim to strengthen Everton, not weaken

This is a clear sign of intent from the Friedkin Group that they do not intend to just make a profit from owning Everton.

If the Toffees are to realistically compete for a place in the top half, they need to not only retain to players like Ndiaye but also add some new faces in January.

Moyes is doing pretty much everything that can be expected so far, with plenty of pressure on Ndiaye and Jack Grealish to carry the workload.

The striker issues are well documented and it may well be that a goalscorer is sought in January, but every team in world football craves one of those.

All Everton fans can ask for is that any formal offers for Ndiaye get swiftly knocked back and that the impressive attacker stays at Hill Dickinson Stadium for a while longer yet.
