Everton ‘probing’ transfer for Brazilian ‘diamond’ as January Premier League race on the cards
Everton have their eyes on a promising Brazilian starlet ahead of the January transfer window.
The Toffees will be targeting a push for the top half of the Premier League in the second half of the campaign, and that will mean reinforcements will be required in January.
Everton are being heavily linked with Ivan Toney as he seems destined to return to England this winter, but they have plenty more targets in their sights ahead of the opening of the window.
The Friedkin Group spent heavily in the summer, but they may be about to get their chequebook out again in January.

Everton chasing January move for Palmeiras star Allan
David Moyes will want fresh additions at Everton this winter, with the attacking areas thought to be a particular priority for him.
There are several players who are already on the Merseysiders’ radar, which seemingly stretches far and wide based on the emergence of their latest target.
Everton are lining up a move for Palmeiras starlet Allan in January, and they are already “probing” over the 21-year-old’s availability, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The centre midfielder has been a hugely influential part of his team so far this season, and has been described as the latest “diamond” to emerge from Palmeiras’ ranks.
The Brazilian giants are understood to have rejected two offers for him in the summer, and have a release clause of around £88million in his contract to try and deter European clubs.
However, that looks unlikely to work for them in January, with interest from Fulham and West Ham set to create a battle for his signature in the Premier League. There is also interest in Allan from Portugal.

Who is Allan?
Everton will need cover for Idrissa Gueye as he is likely to be absent for a lengthy period during the AFCON tournament, and Allan could be the perfect man to provide it for them.
The youngster has already played 48 games in all competitions for Palmeiras so far this season, and their campaign doesn’t even end until early December.
The midfielder, who can also operate on the wing, has eight goal contributions to his name and is described as a massive reason why his team are currently top of the league and in the final of the Copa Libertadores.
Allan is being tracked by the Brazil national setup and could even be involved in the squad for next summer’s World Cup.
The imminent ending of the Brazilian season plays straight into the hands of Premier League clubs in January, and Everton will certainly be hoping that they can become the main beneficiaries.
