Jack Grealish sent clear message at Everton as insider reveals Thomas Tuchel conversation

Everton have already been in talks with Thomas Tuchel over Jack Grealish’s international future.

The Toffees loan star has been in excellent form so far in the new Premier League season, and that has prompted suggestions that he could be in line for a first international call-up since 2024.

However, Grealish’s performances for Everton haven’t been enough to convince Tuchel that he is worthy of a second chance in the England setup just yet.

The 30-year-old remains out of the reckoning for his country at the moment, but David Moyes may have already been seeking assurances for his star man moving forward.

Thomas Tuchel conversation reveals route to England return for Jack Grealish

Moyes has recently suggested that Grealish’s performances for Everton will have him firmly on the cusp of a call-up for England ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

The Scot acknowledged the difficult job facing Tuchel to narrow down on his group, but emphasised during a recent talkSPORT interview that he feels the winger “wouldn’t let anybody down” if he did earn a return.

The Toffees’ boss was adamant that Grealish is within touching distance of potentially making a squad, and that will provide invaluable motivation for the Manchester City loanee as the campaign plays out.

Ex-Everton scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Moyes will have received that message directly from Tuchel himself, and adds that the route back for Grealish is now clear in the coming months.

“With Moyes saying that, he’s obviously been in touch with Tuchel,” King said.

“He’ll be getting reports, and he’ll be watching players with potential to make the England squad.

“I think Grealish has still got a bit to do. The only way he’s going to get into the England squad is if he keeps at his current level with Everton; it’s as simple as that.

“He looks happy, and he looks as though he’s enjoying his football. The next step might be the warm-up games next year. He’s got to concentrate on playing well for Everton, because the next internationals will be in spring now.”

Jack Grealish is outperforming England’s other wingers for Everton

Grealish has been back to his best at Everton so far this season, and the impact that he has made on Merseyside is best highlighted when compared to that of his rivals to reach the England World Cup squad.

No English winger has created more big chances than the former Aston Villa hero in the Premier League this season, with only Bukayo Saka capable of matching his tally of four at present.

The likes of Morgan Rogers, Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon and Noni Madueke have been left firmly in his wake after his electric start to the campaign, and if he sustains this vein of form, then it will be extremely difficult for Tuchel to overlook him next summer.

Grealish is enjoying a new lease of life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and he could yet have a major role to play for his country next summer.
