Seamus Coleman set to extend Everton stay as ex-employee reveals David Moyes plan
Seamus Coleman is set to stay at Everton beyond the end of his current contract when it expires in the summer.
The Irishman has been a fantastic servant for the Toffees over the years, but he has been little more than a fringe player in recent years.
Coleman is set to go away with Ireland during the November international break, having played just two minutes of Premier League action for his club all season.
The 37-year-old is among a group of players who could leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium on a free transfer next summer, but David Moyes and Co. already appear to have a plan for his future.

Seamus Coleman set for coaching role at Everton
Coleman is currently the record appearance-maker at Everton when it comes to Premier League action, as he has turned out in top-flight action on 371 occasions for them over the years.
However, he may not have too many games left in him, as he has made just seven league appearances for the Merseysiders since the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
Everton moved quickly to address the future of both Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski recently, but there is no indication that a new deal will be heading Coleman’s way as of yet.
Ex-Everton scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that the right-back will be offered the opportunity of taking up a coaching role at the club when his contract expires in the summer.
“I can see Coleman going into the coaching staff at Everton,” King said.
“That’s the way that Everton usually operate, when you look back at the likes of Kevin Sheedy. Coleman will be involved in some capacity at the football club.

“I’m sure that he will be offered a coaching position, either in the academy or with the U21s, because he’s got vast experience. What a great ambassador he’s been for the club.”
Seamus Coleman would be a perfect ambassador for the Toffees’ youngsters
Coleman has been an influential figure at Everton over the years, and there is no better role model for the young players coming through at the club.
We have already seen Leighton Baines return to Everton in a coaching capacity, and the same could now be set to happen with Coleman.
It would be no surprise to see the defender cut his teeth by taking charge of one of the academy sides initially, before ultimately working his way through the ranks.
His playing days may seemingly be coming towards a close, but he is somebody who will still hold plenty of value to Everton moving forward.
