Tottenham launch ‘significant’ bid to sign Iliman Ndiaye in ‘blockbuster’ January deal, price detailed

Iliman Ndiaye is reportedly Tottenham’s priority target for the upcoming winter transfer window.

Ndiaye was a doubt for Everton against Fulham before the Premier League ceased for the November international break.

However, the versatile forward featured in Everton’s 2-0 victory over Fulham before joining Senegal for their friendlies against Brazil and Kenya.

This was much to the elation of Toffees fans as Ndiaye has been one of Everton’s best-performing players in the Premier League this season.

However, his impressive form hasn’t escaped the notice of their fellow top division sides.

Everton want £60-70million for Iliman Ndiaye

Tottenham are lining up the “blockbuster signing”of Ndiaye after making him their main target to reinforce Thomas Frank’s attack this winter, according to Fichajes on 11 November.

The Spanish news outlet claims that Spurs have “launched a significant offensive” to sign the former Sheffield United man.

However, David Moyes considers Ndiaye a necessity at Everton and signing the forward will not be straightforward.

It is understood that the Senegalese international, who is contracted at the Hill Dickinson Stadium until 30 June 2029, could cost between £60-70million this winter.

On top of the hefty asking price, Spurs will need to convince the player himself with an offer well-suited to his sporting and economic aspirations.

Even if they manage to do that, it’ll take something big to convince Everton, who are unwilling to sell this winter.

Everton must retain Iliman Ndiaye at all costs

Other than Jack Grealish, who has been excellent for Everton this season, Ndiaye is probably the Toffees’ best player.

He has been both a creative and goalscoring threat down the left channel, often dropping deep to help facilitate meaningful attacks.

Ndiaye has been the complete package for the Toffees this season, which has helped to shield Everton from the fallout of Thierno Barry and Beto’s poor performances this season.

A big plus is also the versatility Ndiaye brings. Indeed, he can play on the left or right wing as well as the attacking midfield, which has given Moyes several options moving forward.

As a result, it would be in Everton’s best interest to retain him this winter, even if Tottenham are willing to pay a historic fee.
