Everton fans to be livid as Friedkin Group transfer plan emerges
The Friedkin Group do not envision Everton becoming competitive anytime soon, which will leave supporters reeling.
Everton were in a difficult financial position when the Americans took over from Farhad Moshiri, but they have steadied the ship.
Everton spent approximately £113million to improve the squad, bringing in the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Adam Aznou and Tyler Dibling.
However, David Moyes‘ side are still miles away from competing for the highest honours, and it seems that the ownership agrees.

Friedkin plan for Everton shared, fans will not be happy
The Friedkins inherited a difficult situation when they bought the Blues, and they are realistic about how long it will take to turn it around.
Dominic King claimed on 16 November that the ownership believes that it will take three windows for the side to be where it needs to be.
Writing for Mail Sport, he said: “The Friedkin Group are realistic about what it’s going to take to move Everton up the table, Mo. The summer was busy but, behind the scenes, there was recognition that it would take three windows – at the least – to get the squad competitive.
“I’ve no reason to doubt TFG won’t back the manager if he spots someone who can do just that.”
That will be a gutting update for supporters, who want their side to be knocking on the door of the top-half in the near future.
What do Everton need to do to be competitive?
The first thing that the Toffees need to do is find a number nine that can score consistently, as Beto and Thierno Barry have struggled to find the back of the net.
Everton have been linked with a move for Ivan Toney, which would certainly help, if Al-Ahli are willing to let him leave.
However, there is doubt about that, and the Blues may have to move on to alternative targets, who do not have as good records in the Premier League as the 29-year-old.
The next job for the recruitment team is to find a top-quality right-back, rather than playing Jake O’Brien, who is naturally a centre-back, in the position.
Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson are not the answer, for different reasons, and it is the second most urgent area of concern for the squad on the blue half of Merseyside.
Then Moyes and Co. must add extra talent to the group, and hope that their players with high potential can actually achieve that.
