Everton surprise emerges after latest Tim Iroegbunam transfer news
Everton have no intention of selling Tim Iroegbunam in the winter transfer window.
While the 22-year-old is being linked with a move away from the Toffees in January, there seems to be no truth in it.
Sheffield United were interested in Iroegbunam in the summer, but the Blues kept the midfielder, who has shown his importance in L4 this season.
David Moyes will surely lose Idrissa Gueye during AFCON, and it wouldn’t make sense to part ways with the former Aston Villa youngster in the coming weeks.

Tim Iroegbunam going nowhere from Everton
Moyes has Iroegbunam in his plans for the rest of the season, despite recent talks of his exit, according to Liverpool Echo.
The news outlet reports on 18 November that claims the Blues are willing to accept a cut-price deal for the Englishman are wide of the mark and “have been met with surprise” at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Iroegbunam’s performance against Fulham at home on 8 November showed that the midfielder has a lot to offer at the Merseyside outfit in the 2025-26 campaign.
The Scottish manager doesn’t have a deep squad to rely on this season, and instead of offloading players, The Friedkin Group (TFG) should look at adding reinforcements in January.

While Gueye and James Garner seem to be the first-choice pairing in midfield, the Senegal international is undoubtedly coming towards the final years of his career.
Iroegbunam should be considered the 36-year-old’s successor at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, as he has shown potential to do so.

David Moyes to force Tim Iroegbunam exit with new transfer
Moyes wants James Ward-Prowse in January, and West Ham United are willing to sell the 31-year-old midway through the season.
While Everton could certainly do with more options in multiple positions, a move for the former Southampton star could potentially hinder Iroegbunam’s progress.

The Scottish manager relied heavily on Ward-Prowse at the London Stadium, and a similar prospect may lead to unease in the squad among those who’ve been fighting for a place in the starting lineup.
As a result, the England Under-20 international might think it would be best for him to leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium to further his development rather than playing second-fiddle for another campaign in L4.
