Iliman Ndiaye the key to breaking 13-year Everton record vs Man United as key weakness spotted

Everton have not recorded an away victory against Manchester United since Bryan Oviedo’s winner in December 2013, and David Moyes will be desperate to change that.

The Toffees entered the international break on the back of a 2-0 victory over Fulham, thanks to goals from Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane.

It a return to winning ways for Everton, who drew 1-1 against Sunderland in the game before, after Iliman Ndiaye’s incredible solo goal.

Ndiaye has been exceptional for Moyes’ side this term, combining his exceptional running power and decision-making to become arguably their most important player.

The 25-year-old has five goal involvements in 11 Premier League appearances this term, and will be the key to beating Manchester United.

Iliman Ndiaye can exploit Man United’s weak point

Ian Darke likened Ndiaye to Lionel Messi after he slalomed past multiple Sunderland defenders before arrowing his strike into the left corner.

Ndiaye has become a match-winner for Everton since joining from Marseille in 2024, and when he comes up against the likes of Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu on Monday (November 24), the Senegalese will fancy his chances of destroying them.

According to Stat Muse, Ndiaye has completed the joint third most dribbles of any Premier League player in 2025/26, with only Mohammed Kudus and Jeremy Doku producing more.

Premier League players most dribbles 2025/26
Mohammed Kudus – 34
Jeremy Doku – 33
Iliman Ndiaye – 26
Yankuba Minteh – 26
Antoine Semenyo – 20

As Everton look to play on the counterattack, the former Sheffield United star could come directly against left centre-back Luke Shaw, someone who has lost a yard of pace since all of his injury problems.

The 30-year-old will arguably fear coming against the pace and explosiveness of Ndiaye, with Everton needing him to produce more magic.

Everton’s head-to-head record vs Man United

Of course, any chances of Everton securing victory hinge on the likes of Ndiaye, Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall turning up, as their record in this fixture is shocking.

Including a 4-0 defeat at Old Trafford last season, the Toffees are winless in their last seven matches against United in all competitions, with six defeats.

But if Ndiaye wants to prove he’s ready to join a Champions League club, this is the sort of game where he can add some extra millions onto his valuation.
