Three unexpected Everton players who could star at 2026 World Cup
Everton could have many representatives at the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Players like Jack Grealish are pushing to get into the England squad for the upcoming tournament.
Whereas stars like Iliman Ndiaye will surely be guaranteed a spot if fit, as the winger looks to lead Senegal to a successful World Cup.
However, there are plenty of Everton players who could well star at the upcoming tournament who may have gone under the radar.
Therefore, Goodison News has highlighted three below.

Adam Aznou – Morocco
Adam Aznou has become a forgotten player at Everton since his move in the summer.
The full-back is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Toffees, and has mainly been seen as an unused substitute on the bench.
However, Aznou could easily make it to the upcoming World Cup. The 19-year-old is a Moroccan international and has won three caps for his country.
The North African side have now qualified for the summer tournament, meaning there is a chance he could be on the plane.

While Aznou has not won a cap since 2024, if he starts picking up first-team minutes for Everton, there is every chance he can make the squad.
Nathan Patterson – Scotland
Another forgotten player at Everton is Nathan Patterson.
The full-back rarely features for the Toffees under David Moyes, and is either injured or on the bench.
Nevertheless, Patterson is still a regular in the Scotland national team, with 23 caps, last making an appearance in June.

Now that Scotland have qualified for the World Cup, there is every chance Patterson is called back into the squad if he can remain fit and start to pick up minutes.
Tom King – Wales
Everton signed Tom King in the summer, with the goalkeeper being used as a backup at the Toffees.
However, despite the likelihood that he will never play a game for the Merseyside club, he remains an international with Wales.
King was once again called up to the Wales squad in November, and while he wasn’t able to add to his sole cap, the Dragons managed to qualify for the playoffs in March.

Therefore, if Wales manage to get past this hurdle and qualify for the World Cup, it is likely that King will be part of the squad once again.
While he is the third-choice keeper, it only takes a couple of injuries and suspensions to get the 30-year-old to add to his sole cap.
