Everton ace has proven Moyes can trust him to solve ‘headache’ for game vs Man United
David Moyes will face a tough decision on who he will play at right-back for Everton against Manchester United.
Everton take on Man United at Old Trafford on Monday, with Toffees supporters sure to be delighted to see the back of the international break.
Everton last won at Old Trafford in 2013, and Moyes knows his side are in for a difficult evening against the Red Devils.
Moyes decided to play James Garner at right-back in the Blues’ 2-0 win against Fulham last time out in the league, as Jake O’Brien was dropped to the bench.
Following developments away from the Toffees, Moyes now has a huge “headache” to deal with for the Toffees.

David Moyes has three viable right-back options vs Man United
Seamus Coleman was immense for the Republic of Ireland in their two dramatic results in World Cup qualification matches during the break.
O’Brien is usually given the nod over the Everton skipper at right-back, but things might soon change.
| Player | Position |
| Jake O’Brien | Right-back |
| James Garner | Right-back |
| Seamus Coleman | Right-back |
Everton podcast, A View From The Bullens, shared a video on X alongside quotes from Alan Stubbs, who commented on the dilemma that Moyes faces against the Red Devils.
Stubbs said: “Players have had good minutes whilst being away on international duty, they have come through the games, and Seamus Coleman has shown again he is still very much capable of starting games.
“He’s given the manager a headache for Monday with how good he was for Ireland.”
O’Brien wasn’t amazing for Ireland, but that doesn’t mean he won’t start on Monday, with Garner also in contention to start.

Moyes should trust Seamus Coleman
There’s no reason at all why Moyes shouldn’t be putting his faith in Coleman.
Garner has been predicted to start, though it would be a crying shame to see Coleman omitted from the starting lineup at Old Trafford given his recent form.

Moyes’ best option would be to take Tim Iroegbunam out of the side, play Garner centrally, and go for Coleman’s experience at right-back.
Everton can beat United, but it’s going to be tough, and leaders are going to be needed on the pitch.
