Everton to repeat Man United trick with Iliman Ndiaye as David Moyes’ fears grow
Everton are set to lose Iliman Ndiaye to AFCON in December.
Everton are unlikely to be in a relegation battle this season, though that can change in an instant if results don’t start flowing consistently.
Ndiaye’s form for the Toffees this season has been excellent, and he is going to be crucial to their hopes of pushing up the Premier League table.
However, fears are going to grow ahead of AFCON in December, though Everton may be able to find a way to subdue their concerns.

Iliman Ndiaye could miss eight Everton games
AFCON gets underway on 21 December and the final is held on 18 January, with Senegal likely to be one of the sides involved in the competition up to the latter stages.
However, Premier League sides are often required to release their players up to three weeks ahead of the start date, and if so, it would see Ndiaye miss up to eight league fixtures.
Rubem Amorim has made it clear that he wants to delay his player departures for the competition, with the Red Devils having done similar before.
Andre Onana was called up to AFCON two years ago, but Man United were able to delay his departure, which saw him leave just one day before Cameroon’s first encounter.
Everton will be hoping to do the same with Ndiaye, who will be an integral part of the success that they can find between now and the end of the season.
Idrissa Gueye in similar position at Everton
Idrissa Gueye is also set to jet away with Senegal in December, and his absence will be just as much of a miss for Everton.
The 36-year-old has started all 11 of the Toffees’ Premier League fixtures so far this season, showcasing his importance under David Moyes.

With Merlin Rohl out with an injury, Everton are lacking options in the middle of the park, with Tim Iroegbunam the only real replacement.
Carlos Alcaraz could feature in Gueye’s absence, though it would likely mean a change of shape.
