Roy Keane and Wayne Rooney in agreement over Everton fans ahead of Manchester United clash

Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Wayne Rooney have heaped praise on the Everton faithful ahead of Monday’s visit to Old Trafford.

Everton face Man United in the Premier League on 24 November following the conclusion of the November international break.

David Moyes has a poor record against Man United and is possibly in need of a miracle to beat the Red Devils away from home.

That being said, Keane and Rooney‘s recent comments about the Blues fans show why they may have a chance of taking three points back to Merseyside.

Roy Keane and Wayne Rooney say Everton’s away support is the best in football

Moyes will be without Merlin Rohl for the clash as the German midfielder had a hernia operation, which will keep him out of action for a few more weeks.

Beto will once again come under the microscope, with concerns about the striker’s ability mounting just before the January transfer window.

In a short segment on The Overlap’s TikTok channel, footballing legends were asked about which away supporters make the best atmosphere in football.

Keane said: “Best away fans? Everton.”

Former Toffees striker Rooney also claimed that Everton have the best away support in football.

Manchester United are backed to beat Everton, and the travelling Bluenoses will have to do everything in their power to try and help Moyes’ side over the line.

It’s undoubtedly one of the toughest games of the season, and Everton’s away record so far does not make for good reading.

Everton have only won one away game this season

Ahead of game week 12, Everton currently sit 12th in the table for away form.

The Toffees’ matchup against United will be their sixth away game of the campaign, but they come into this one having only won once on the road.

There’s further bad news in the fact that the Red Devils have only lost once at home so far, winning their other four matches.

However, mountains are there to be climbed, and Moyes will be confident that the travelling support could boost Everton to accomplish a huge upset at Old Trafford.
